Nytris is the author of Pure Not Broken, an adult dark fantasy romance and the first novel in The Grilas Chronicles. A lifelong daydreamer with a love for all things fantasy, strange, and a little dark, she has spent most of her life creating stories…even when they existed only inside her head.

She is also, by her own admission, a jack of all trades and master of absolutely none.

Before finally deciding to put those imaginary worlds on paper, Nytris collected an eclectic assortment of careers, hobbies, and qualifications. She has attended culinary school and cosmetology school, earned her real estate license and nail technician license, spent more than fifteen years working in healthcare, including time in leadership, and is currently studying copyediting. Somewhere in between, she also became an artist, culinary enthusiast, wife, and mom.

Apparently, simply having one hobby was never an option.

After years in demanding healthcare roles, including working as a director, Nytris eventually chose to step away from higher management and make more room for her family, creativity, and the parts of life that had been pushed aside for too long. Writing became one of those things.

Her stories tend to feature morally complicated characters, unusual creatures, messy emotions, dark humor, dangerous magic, and romance with just enough spice to keep things interesting. She has a particular weakness for characters who aren't easily sorted into "good" and "evil" and firmly believes monsters are usually far more interesting anyway.

When she isn't writing, Nytris can usually be found starting yet another creative project, making art, doing nails, experimenting in the kitchen, reading, or spending time with her husband and daughter.

She may still have her head in the clouds.

These days, she just remembers to write down what she sees.
